Yes, indeed.

The GT3 RS is certainly an 'event' of a car.

Were I ever lucky enough to be in a position to order a new GT car, I would pass on GT3 RS, GT2 RS, GT4 and opt for a relatively subtle GT3 with Touring Pack. And probably in a fairly subtle colour too... :)

+1
With you on the WC, the full on RS is almost a racing car and I think could become tiring if used much on the road.

I like it a lot. To be honest these cars are supposed to be track cars that can be used on the road, so not supposed to be subtle. Therefore the GT3 touring is something a little bit different. I didn't expect it to be manual as the PDK is such a superb box and for track times it has to be the obvious choice. Before the 991.1 GT3 Preuninger said all GT cars would be PDK but had to bow to pressure and make a manual version for Gen2.

Agreed, Arif.

And I don't always/usually like subtle, hence my red Panamera 4 and my Racing Yellow Carrera T.

The GT3 RS is an awesome machine and I only hope that they are used & enjoyed as they were intended. :)

I doubt many will WC, the minute a potential second hand buyer got to know his intended had been tracked he be off or at least see it greatly devalued. Sadly most will be track cars for collectors with only the richest of buyers being able to afford to use it as intended.

It is a shame - seemingly rich investors lining their pockets, rather than true driving enthusiasts using and enjoying awesome automotive creations.

Saw a 911R for sale on a FB post for $549k. Unlikely to have been tracked or driven at all for many enthusiastic miles. Looks poor value against a 991.2 GT3 with Touring Pack, even with a profiteer's £60k added on top.

I'm with you on the GT3 touring, it's the perfect blend of everything that Porsche does well.

For perfection, I'd add rear seats, but I realise that to many, that would be sacrilege. ;)

I think there is a great degree of difference between what people say they'll spec and what they do based on what turns up for sale.

To spec a GT car without carbon buckets is sacrilege in my view but there are so many cars that don't have them.

Spoke to dealer. March 13 completion date for GT3. March 21 completion date for GTS. April could be a good month. :D

Good news, Alex! Completion date for my Carrera T is 20th March, so a week after your GT3 and a day before your GTS! :)

By the way, were these completion dates what you expected, or any earlier?
