A letter from a reader who bought a Panamera for £81,500, kept it a month and then decided it was too big. Tried to sell it back to the dealer and was offered £65k!

This is interesting too for Diesel owners. Their view is that diesel Cayenne’s like this one will have solid residuals. If they’re right, good news for anyone worrying about it.

They obviously haven't heard about the £6k plus discounts, currently being given on showroom stock, as a member on here recently took full advantage of?

Ouch! £16,500 or 20% does seem to be taking the liberty, after one month, even for a Porsche Centre! Buyer beware!

Stupid is as stupid does.

Irrespective of the eye watering difference in prices, who in their right mind spends the amount of cash we do on a car without having a very long test drive to ensure that it meets all ones needs?

👍 Maybe, just maybe, his negotiating skills were on par with his original decision-making.

Ouch.

Great action by the dealer for receiving repeat business.

They are like Wilmslow (maybe it was them in this case) after a bad experience there I would not touch them ever even if they were the only Porsche dealer in the country.

Sounds about right.
A lot of people say that Cars that are discounted depreciate badly. For me that has never been the case.
It’s not negotiating the discount on the car in the first place which is the reason so much is lost.

I have sold Audi’s over 5 years old and got back 45% of what I paid not what the rrp was......

It was Glasgow OPC in the article quoted above, Col. :)

"Loaded with extras".
Doesn't this rather prove the point that many of these personal "Extras" become virtually worthless the minute you drive out of the showroom?
