Superb, thanks - when updating the order is it just the case of them adding this colour code?

Agate had been our reluctant first choice - it was the only grey at that time - as in some lights and at some angles it can err to brown. Is it possible that the same colour is done by another maker or can you get an international colour code? You need something to reference.
+1. Quartz grey was a popular Porsche colour in the early/ mid 1980s on the 911 and 928 and had a strong brown tint. If Porsche have resurrected the same colour formula then I think you need to see a sample before ordering.

I am hoping the website picture is more accurate

Hopefully a revised quartz grey - but hey, hopefully a colour sample will be available soon enough

If you get to see a colour sample make sure you take the sample outside ( preferably in sunshine - might be hard in U.K. :D ) and also compare against agate grey and volcano grey to get some comparison.

mavg1986 wrote: Thu Mar 22, 2018 10:08 pm by the way, what % of the base price is the consensus on ordering the Cayenne?

Most say to stick to 10% on the Macan for re-sale, I am getting to about 14-15% at the moment. Tough the whole optionals list, should I try to stick to 10%? Again thinking of the deal other than the "desired spec"
I think you will be fine upto base +20% on a Macan/Cayenne. I usually think of it as Base +10k.
Thanks MacanArif - I am also one to fight depreciation as much as I can, and as hard as possible. Whilst I love driving nice cars, I hate (probably at a greater scale) losing money I don't need to on depreciation.

For the Cayenne, base price is close to £56k - I was thinking of adding at least:

Metallic Paint £749
Black Mojave Beige interior £252
Pan roof (must for me) £1,422
Privacy £354
Seat Heating (must for the missus) £308
Rear side air bag (small price to pay) £291
Reversing camera (seems odd not to have one) £480

This gives me £3,856 in optionals (c.6.8%)

I wanted to add the following:

21 alloys RS Spyder £2,445
18 sport seats £1,406
Bose sound £956
PASM £1,094
Heated steering £189
Smoking Package (just for design) £38
Ambient lighting £261
Exterior Package in Black £245

This increases optional costs to £10,490 (c.18.7%)

What would be your "twopence" spec on this car?

Hi mavg1986,

I think the fuller spec you have is absolutely fine, the only thing I might not add are the 18 way sports seats as not sure that will add value on the used market. The bigger wheels, PASM will all add to desirability.

Hope that helps.

What would be your "twopence" spec on this car?
Picking thoughts out of your spec two
Wheels- Bigger wheels are important for resale so would go at least 20"s which would be a good compromise on cost / aesthetics
Seats--- 18ways seats are great but not sure they work well in a big comfy 4x4 Having to hurdle in and out over the extended bolsters eventually becomes a bit of a bind
Bose- Nice to have but many say its not worth the extra money if your trying to keep costs / depreciation to a minimum
Heated steering wheel- no brainer
PASM- Could probably get away without it on 20"s
The other bits and bobs are cheap enough to be added to make it a little more special to yourself.

My 2p's worth:

I'd find a way to budget for the 21" wheels & probably PASM too.

To fund a lot of this, you could ditch metallic paint (car looks good in white), pano roof (as you have a light coloured interior), privacy glass & rev cam. :)
