New Cayenne - new colour on German website
I would say its even more important not to over spec a Cayenne than a Macan if you want to minimise your loss come resale

Not that I wanted it, but I was most sursprised there was no rear seat entertainment option or even pre-wiring options on the latest Cayenne. For a “family” car this seems strange. Guess shortage of parts again?Craig Porter wrote: ↑Thu Mar 22, 2018 10:11 pm You tend to find that once production gets moving Porsche will then start to add additional colours and options, I have a few customers wanting to have Side-steps but also not available at the moment. Quartz - Looks stunning. We had a Biscay Blue which also looked really nice with Black/Mojave.....

I generally keep my cars for 3 years, so I don’t worry too much about residuals. Don’t get me wrong, I hate losing money just as much as the next man but this is my pride and joy and I want to specify options that I want.mavg1986 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 22, 2018 10:08 pm by the way, what % of the base price is the consensus on ordering the Cayenne?
Most say to stick to 10% on the Macan for re-sale, I am getting to about 14-15% at the moment. Tough the whole optionals list, should I try to stick to 10%? Again thinking of the deal other than the "desired spec"
Work out a budget you can afford and stick to it. Enjoy the car and repeat this come renewal time.
Remember options, like colours, are subjective. One mans nectar is another mans marmite. It’s what makes us diverse.
That grey though.....

That’ll be part of the half year model enhancement once the initial flurry of interest has worn off (like cruise control and bluetooth becoming standard on the Macan part way through ‘15)smithy37 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 22, 2018 10:38 pmNot that I wanted it, but I was most sursprised there was no rear seat entertainment option or even pre-wiring options on the latest Cayenne. I think you will be fine upto base +20% on a Macan/Cayenne. I usually think of it as Base +10k.mavg1986 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 22, 2018 10:08 pm by the way, what % of the base price is the consensus on ordering the Cayenne?

thanks Craig, I do understand Friday's tend to be the busiest days around especially towards month end. If you have a chance to look into it I would be greatfullCraig Porter wrote: ↑Thu Mar 22, 2018 10:19 pm Just had a quick look on PPN and no sign of Quartz, I've got a manic day tomorrow but will try and make a call and come back to you.

Thanks MacanArif - I am also one to fight depreciation as much as I can, and as hard as possible. Whilst I love driving nice cars, I hate (probably at a greater scale) losing money I don't need to on depreciation.MacanArif wrote: ↑Fri Mar 23, 2018 8:01 amI think you will be fine upto base +20% on a Macan/Cayenne. For the Cayenne, base price is close to £56k - I was thinking of adding at least:
Metallic Paint £749
Black Mojave Beige interior £252
Pan roof (must for me) £1,422
Privacy £354
Seat Heating (must for the missus) £308
Rear side air bag (small price to pay) £291
Reversing camera (seems odd not to have one) £480
This gives me £3,856 in optionals (c.6.8%)
I wanted to add the following:
21 alloys RS Spyder £2,445
18 sport seats £1,406
Bose sound £956
PASM £1,094
Heated steering £189
Smoking Package (just for design) £38
Ambient lighting £261
Exterior Package in Black £245
This increases optional costs to £10,490 (c.18.7%)
What would be your "twopence" spec on this car?

Just a word of caution re the colour. I think I’d want to see it in the flesh. Agate had been our reluctant first choice - it was the only grey at that time - as in some lights and at some angles it can err to brown. Is it possible that the same colour is done by another maker or can you get an international colour code? You need something to reference.
