Not many.. MX5 is one that springs to mind, though.

Yes, that's about right. But on a long trip via a Tesla Supercharger it costs £0
Yes but how much did your model X cost you in the first place?
Much less than the Volvo XC90 T8 I was thinking of buying. £11k deposit + £780 a month over 4 years (1.5% APR), 40K miles and 7p/mile unlimited excess. The Volvo was over £1K per month on the same PCP term and deposit. Cash price would have been £88K, but the cheap finance makes it much more competitive vs Volvo, Jaguar, Porsche, etc. finance. Even has a higher guaranteed residual than the Cayenne at the end of the PCP.

Servicing costs are surprisingly expensive, but no worse than Porsche! Other running costs are seriously cheap though for a 500 hp 7-seat SUV.
So the Tesla X will cost you £48,440 for 4 years motoring, with nothing at the end of the PCP contract.

I paid cash for my Macan, as there were no attractive PCP deals and no discount was available on a brand new one. Interest rates on cash savings being less than 1.4%, I saved circa 4.5% on the finance charge option, which were a heady 6.9% at the time. Effectively therefore I'm getting "free" fuel for about 17,500 miles...... and I own the car outright.

And your point is what? Other similar new SUVs would have cost even more on a 4 year PCP and I really didn't feel like shelling out £88k in cash upfront. Neither did I want a used car. Plus I wanted a full EV, so not exactly a lot of choice, well actually none at all!

I own my classic 911 outright and it's an appreciating asset. Totally different situation. Horses for courses.

My point is that you're paying a ridiculous amount of money for an American styled Duracell car that you don't even own.

Well said.

A reasonably equipted Macan Turbo £75k

A Tesla Model X with similar performance and one extra pack selected £93k.

So the Tesla costs £18k more with far inferior selection of extras and a basic bland interior.

£18k will cover the costs of fuel, servicing and road taxes for many, many years in my Turbo.

What a Tesla will be worth in 3-5 years is unknown for an outright purchase.

The economics of a Tesla only seem to sort of make sense with a PCP.

Some of the discussion in here remind me much of the classic Dunning/Kruger effect.

I do like that graph! (and the underlying theory😉)

Perhaps it could be made interactive and we could plot each other’s positions.....😂😂
