It's also worth setting up an alert on eBay or look out on here. We bought a set of Porsche 18" wheels on eBay to use in winter at 3rd of the price. We then just had to buy the pressure sensors and tyres. More work perhaps, but half the price for it all. And there's no rush for you at the moment as we are hopefully entering summer.

No ideas about storage, sorry. We have a garden shed and change the wheels ourselves.
Our stable:

I'm already dreading how much a set of centre locks with winter tyres is going to cost me!
North of £5k I'm afraid VanB! I'm still mulling over that one.

Buying a used set is a good call. I still have a set of 18" from my 997 sitting in the garage. No use to Wing Co. though

Colchester have stored and swapped my Macan sets at no cost.
I will see how they react when I get a "winter" set for the C4 - but I won't expect anything less than the excellent service to date.
Thanks, Wallaby. I mentioned that. They said their offer was already better than the 10% discount, as they were throwing in wheel centres, a year's storage and two swap-overs.
You don't even need wheel centres, just swap them over with the wheels.

Yes a shade over £5.4k iirc. Probably cheaper to buy an old Land Rover!

Yep, I'm going to contact local OPCs including Bristol, Cardiff, Tewkesbury and Reading. :geek:

20" Centre Locks with winter tyres = £5,344.

Makes £3,151 look a positive bargain! ;)

Although they wouldn't match. ;) Summer wheels are Titanium Grey gloss finish and winter wheels likely to be traditional silver finish.

Peteski wrote: Tue May 15, 2018 9:14 pm Fairly expensive for the wheel/tyre set, but not ridiculous. A few years ago Porsche used to discount winter wheel sets, I think I paid something like £1500 for my 18" set...
To put into context:

£5,344 for 20" centre lock wheels with winter tyres for a GTS.
£4,706 for 20" Carrera S wheels in satin Platinum Grey with tyres
£3,151 for 19" Carrera wheels with tyres

£2,176 for 18" Boxster wheels with tyres

£1,949 for 18" Macan wheels with tyres

Personally I think £5k+ for a GTS is ridiculous
