It's also worth setting up an alert on eBay or look out on here. We bought a set of Porsche 18" wheels on eBay to use in winter at 3rd of the price. We then just had to buy the pressure sensors and tyres. More work perhaps, but half the price for it all. And there's no rush for you at the moment as we are hopefully entering summer.
No ideas about storage, sorry. We have a garden shed and change the wheels ourselves.
Winter wheel/tyre set.

North of £5k I'm afraid VanB! I'm still mulling over that one.VanB wrote: ↑Wed May 16, 2018 8:06 am I'm inclined to agree with MCDK that charging £300 a year to store them is taking the piss. I'm pretty sure Reading store them for free so may be worth seeing if you can get a deal on a set from them as you're only in Swindon.
I'm already dreading how much a set of centre locks with winter tyres is going to cost me!

Buying a used set is a good call. I still have a set of 18" from my 997 sitting in the garage. No use to Wing Co. thoughSemerka wrote: ↑Wed May 16, 2018 8:43 am It's also worth setting up an alert on eBay or look out on here. You don't even need wheel centres, just swap them over with the wheels.Wing Commander wrote: ↑Wed May 16, 2018 7:44 amThanks, Wallaby. I mentioned that. They said their offer was already better than the 10% discount, as they were throwing in wheel centres, a year's storage and two swap-overs.wallaby wrote: ↑Tue May 15, 2018 11:25 pm 10% discount on the wheels and tyres for Porsche Club GB members, Wing Co.
Colchester have stored and swapped my Macan sets at no cost.
I will see how they react when I get a "winter" set for the C4 - but I won't expect anything less than the excellent service to date.
Yes a shade over £5.4k iirc. Probably cheaper to buy an old Land Rover!Nuclear Nick wrote: ↑Wed May 16, 2018 9:10 amNorth of £5k I'm afraid VanB! 20" Centre Locks with winter tyres = £5,344.
Makes £3,151 look a positive bargain!

Although they wouldn't match. Summer wheels are Titanium Grey gloss finish and winter wheels likely to be traditional silver finish.Peteski wrote: ↑Wed May 16, 2018 9:41 amYou don't even need wheel centres, just swap them over with the wheels.Wing Commander wrote: ↑Wed May 16, 2018 7:44 amThanks, Wallaby.
