Well been looking on the Porshe website for Approved used 911s with a spec that is near where I would spec if specced from new, there’s not all that many around that is near where we wanted to spend around £85k,spotted a Agate Grey 911 Carrera 2 , Nov 2017 with 3500mls at Porsche Aberdeen Scotland so son and I drove up from Sheffield yesterday 6hrs 45 mins each way and 800miles but it was worth the trip, fabulous motor with a nice spec,as for discount got £2100 off the asking price of £86k and they are going to deliver it on a transporter hopefully Monday 4th June, going to have it detailed and wrapped around the front bumper/ bonnet etc.
On another note the wife’s 4 week old Golf GTI with 650mls on the clock lost all drive coming over the Woodhead Pass on Wednesday afternoon,on the Woodhead Pass there’s no mobile phone reception ,eventually a passing motorist stopped and took my wife home where she arranged through VW to recover theGolf,it’s in JCT600 VW Sheffield and I’ve been informed it needs a replacement gearbox, very disappointing really she’s not had much luck with it ,firstly curbed an alloy which is presently in for repair,2 chips on the bonnet and now the gearbox issue.
Anyone wants to see the 911 photos go to Aberdeen Porsche website ,Approved used ,Page 4 it’s says price/mileage on application.

Sorry to hear about the Golf GTi, Steve. :( But many congrats on the 991.2 C2! It does look great. :)

Looking forward to your photos and first impressions. 8-)

P.S. Porsche obviously knew what they were doing when they launched the Macan as a new 'entry' Porsche, designed to entice many buyers to go on to 'trade up' to other models offered by the marque! :ugeek:

Macans, Boxsters and Caymans are “gateway” products for sure. Less sure about the Cayenne simply because anyone needing a car of that size probably couldn’t live with a 911 except as a second car.

Look forward to the pictures [emoji106]

Congrats Steve on finding what you want .

Great motor in the 911

Sorry to hear of the Golf woes, Woodhead is not exactly an ideal place to have car problems at any time.

How long before someone suggests renaming the forum? Macan owners are certainly a minority amongst the active users. :(
