Not bad at all. Mostly motorway miles with a crawl at the beginning & at the end.
I am sure this is better than 2015 Macan Turbo achieved, but then I would say that, wouldn’t I? :geek:

Doesn't that engine have cylinder deactivation. So if you are gently cruising it will switch from 8 to 4 cylinders - hence use less fuel than the V6 in the Turbo.

I managed to get an average 28.4MPG travelling from london to leeds and back... with still 20% tank left. Then again, the M1 forced me to drive at economical pace at 55mph.... boring but comfortable.

Certainly a couple of mpg better than I get on my "mostly motorway miles" journeys. I've had higher, but not with that ø mph. So good job there.

Your speed for most of the journey must have been quite high if you had slow bits at beginning and end to still register average 61mph

That is decent consumption nevertheless for a big heavy powerful car

Hope you enjoyed every minute

I used innodrive quite a bit (absolutely brill by the way) and set it at around 79mph. Had the odd foot down moment but generally sauntered along. Crawled out of town leaving home & then hit 8 miles of average camera roadworks North of East Midlands airport close to my destination.

For what it’s worth, my average since collecting the car (990 miles) is around 18 mpg. Please bear in mind though my commute is short and through a town and some days I’m lucky if I drive more than 10 town miles a day.

I didn’t buy the car for its mpg but just thought I’d share what I thought was phenomenal. Cheat software anyone?

Pretty impressive for a big heavy SUV with a Porsche V8 petrol engine, especially averaging 61mph. :ugeek: :)

Indicated MPG is impressive but a better measure is brim to brim (try Fuelly) which I suspect would show lower for the same journey. I fully appreciate you would need to fill up before you set off and then again when you arrive which isn’t practical on an ongoing basis but would nevertheless be an interesting comparison.

This is the sad thing. We're going to be bullied into driving tiny buzz boxes through ignorance. My V8 diesel Cayenne has used 8.5 l /100 km (33.23 mpg) in its life. And that includes the very occasional blast to 200 kph if I'm feeling particularly stupid.
