Thanks Arif and hope you are still loving the GT3. I watched the Mr JWW video of his first drive as part of the Porsche 70 year celebrations up in Scotland and it looked and sounded amazing.

Hawkeye - yes I saw that video too and would love to do something similar in mine when I have the time. Like you I'm truly smitten with my motor, my only frustration is that I currently don't have anywhere to exploit that awesome performance. I'm seriously considering some track action!
It may be too far for you to go, but a group of QF owners recently did a session with Car Limits at North Weald and spoke very highly of it. I think they were a group of 4.

Thanks Wingco. Bringing some colour to the world just like you in you’re T! Hope you’re enjoying it.

Oh yes, loving my Carrera T thanks, Hawkeye! Been dashing around the South of England and covered over 2,000 miles in it already! [emoji1]
Have you seen this video Wingco? A comparison of the GT3 Touring vs Carrera T.

Glad the reliability issues from 20 years ago seem to be sorted. My 156 (around 1999?) ate tyres and sumps. I put 7 sumps into it. Even got a stainelss steel sump guard made up but it wore that out too!

My experience is limited so far and things may change, so just keeping my fingers crossed for now! 🤞

Hi Hawkeye. Yep, have watched that video numerous times, but it always bears watching again. ;)

And for the first time, I noticed that the GT3 with Touring Pack does not have the steering wheel-mounted mode selector! :ugeek:

That’s because it’s manual and the mode selector is only available on PDK equipped cars

Wrong. My Carrera T is manual and has the wheel-mounted mode selector. ;)

Maybe the GTS in the Top Gear video is an “ old model”?

When did the wheel mounted selector mode come in on 911s? (Perhaps Arif can confirm whether he has it...)

He doesn't according to the photos here: viewtopic.php?f=23&t=7340&hilit=GT3

It's not shown in any GT3 pictures that I can find, nor do they seem to have the MF steering wheel - weight saving?
