Polestar 1 now open.

Almost pulled the trigger - don't know much about it apart from 600hp/1000Nm hybrid and doesn't look like every other car on the road. A bit of individuality goes a long way.

Nonrefundable reservation fee, so might do it anyway.
Used to have 2016 Macan Turbo PHCKCL70
Previously a 2014 Macan Turbo.
Now a 2021 Tesla Model 3 LR

Umm, had a few of these in the the past and it has the distinctive look of the Volvo front without the badge 😳 😊It will be well built but possibly wallowy 🤕

I was disappointed to see it's not a full EV. 93 mile NEDC range = 50 miles in reality. Quite useful range around town, but I've been spoilt by the Tesla drivetrain. I thought Polestar was going to be a full EV brand for Volvo, but looks like a slow start.

Of course, pure EV fans aren't going to like it and badge snobs aren't going to like it and anyone who's been near something a bit similar to it will dismiss it, but to me, the £136k price tag is a bit off-putting :)

Wow! I doubt we'll see many of these around at that price. Makes a Model S P100D look quite good value!
