Millbrook proving ground
Hi everyone. Any of you know anything about this (other than what I can get from Wikipedia)? I just got an invite for a session there drinking a Boxster and a Cayenne with a guest. It is a bit of a trek but looks like it might be fun. Thought I would give it a go - has anyone else done this? Do you recommend it?

Milbrook proving ground is normally used by manufacturers - I've been to a couple of car launches in the past. The Alpine road is good fun and you get to roar around the high speed banking etc and they’ve got a tricky narrow concrete handling track too,
If you’re lucky you might catch glimpses of other manufacturers prototypes / mules being tested....
(Good luck drinking the Boxster and Cayenne...)

What time are you going? I am going for 1.15 and meeting a friend there. The chance of me being off or being able to get off on a Thursday at 1 month notice is approaching zero - so since I happen to be free I thought it was worth the trek. I hope so!

I have been there with Aston for the DB11 and with McLaren for both 650 and 570 launches.
The whole site is very interesting - last time I was there, I was doing the mile straight at the same time as a tank - and a big one at that! As previously stated, always something going on to see - although you have a hand your phone to security to have the camera taped up - and then checked on exit.
The Alpine circuit is bonkers - particularly if you have a local expert driving you. The handling circuit is not wildly dissimilar to PEC’s original half. The high speed bowl is good if you haven’t done a bowl before.
All in all definitely worth going if you have any opportunity.
