The issue surrounding space.. well I have to say, the Germans sure know how make a car fit most shapes and sizes. I'm 6ft3, 18 stone.. wife is 5ft7 and we've got two young children and can all comfortably fit in the 911 and can go away for a few days with luggage.. To put it into perspective.. The Macans felt more cramped (less leg room) from behind the wheel with a child seat in place directly behind the drivers seat than in the 911.. With regards to load capacity, having been a long time Lotus owner, you learn how to make the most of any available space and the 911 frunk is deceptively spacious. It all depends on what you consider to be impractical.

Doesn’t really look like there is any leg room for those car seats, your kids must be very small.

You'd be surprised, honestly. Not the best camera angle to appreciate the room there is behind me. Anybody with an average build up to 5ft.3 can sit in the back. My kids are nearly 6 and 4 and are of average height. It astounds me how well designed the interior is. I don't even have to have my seat fully pulled back either to get comfortable and I have a 35" inside leg.

comment that gets used oh so often.

It is all relative.

Yes they look OK, they handle great, the performance is great, they are comfortable.

But as a sole, one and only car they make very little sense at all.

There is zilch storage space, the rear seats if fitted can only take limited adults who are flexible enough to squeeze into the seats.

Heck, I could not get our weekly shopping into a 911 without multiple trips to the Supermarket. This I would not mind if we had a decent road between my home and the Supermarket.

But for me the absolute worst thing about a 911 is that I cannot get out of the damn thing once I get in.
Another happy 911 owner here. My sole car and a daily driver. Like most of us here I suspect, for at least 95% of the time, the car carries just one or two people. My daughters, 17 & 22, can fit in the back. They’d prefer not to do so for a long trip, but this would very rarely apply, as my elder daughter has her own 4-seater car.

Regarding shopping, all I can say, Col, is that you must consume one hell of a lot of food/drink in a week!!! The frunk can swallow tons of shopping. Then there’s loads of additional space in the back - on the back seats, or fold them down, on the floor behind the front seats and on the shelf behind the rear seats! ;)

A truly classic icon that can be a realistic daily driver for a surprising number of people/households! :)

I struggle to get into the back of my Macan :-) Sure, it's possible, but only for short periods of time. Just about everything else in its class is cavernous by comparison. But sure, you can justify anything if you try hard enough!

;) I am certainly in the bottom quartile for UK male height and I can vouch that 5'3" is the fit limit for the rear seat on a 991 model. Being the owner I won't be traveling there (in mine) but leg room behind me is good and I have had 6'er in the back briefly because he really wanted to :D :D
My wife is smidgen shorter and I have been firmly informed never will she travel in the back for more than an hour again
And when the cat travels his cage sits on the folded seats just fine however, there is a pretty loud caterwauling for most of the trip that even the sports exhaust won't drown out

So goron is right, if you want, most things can be 'made possible'
