Advice please: Am looking at new cars for Mrs Funrider - short list currently Mazda CX3, Audi Q2 & VW T-Roc.
Test drive in 2.0 litre petrol CX3 today - nice interior, but was rather unimpressed..
‘Must have’ specs, & have built on both Q2 & T-Roc website model builders the following:
- not diesel
- 4 wheel drive,
- auto with paddles, thus has to be c 2 litre engines giving c 190ps ( you can’t get 4wd & auto on the smaller motors)
- heated fronts, pano sunroof, LEDs
- probably full leather, possibly active suspension
I do know, and do like, the 2.0 Macans, but can’t afford a 2nd Macan , and while she loves driving ‘my’ Macan Turbo, she wants something smaller than Q3 size.
I’m lining up test drives, but any Macan owners have experience with these 4wd/auto models?
Fun to drive?
I may end up using ‘her’ car a bit too, to prevent me running up c20k miles a year on the Turbo as I did on my previous Macan diesel - but the Macans are just so good...
Anyone drive a VW T-Roc or Q2 ?

Try the Suzuki vitara or s-cross with the 1.0 or 1.4 engines a 6 speed auto with flaps.
Does it have to be a SUV/crossover? If not then you could factor in the Golf R. (Or if you need a bit more space then a Golf R Estate, assuming it's still available and not too long)

A Macan and a Golf GTi is a pretty decent combination
Cayenne E Hybrid

Could very much agree with that!!!
GTi is just 2WD and not 4WD I believe, hence my suggestion of Golf R which is 4WD.
Yes R is 4WD and GTi FWD
Currently have a Golf R estate and previously had a Golf R hatch - best value performance car on the market, can't faulty it and a good shout as a second car. The boot in the Golf R estate is absolutely massive and probably bigger than anything in its class.
In fact rumours have it they are bringing out a T-Roc R.

I can vouch for that. The R is the best value Bang for Buck available.MacanArif wrote: ↑Sat Sep 22, 2018 10:30 amYes R is 4WD and GTi FWD
