"There won't be any more diesel cars from Porsche in the future," Oliver Blume told Bild am Sonntag in an interview.
"We have never developed and produced diesel engines ourselves. Still, Porsche's image has suffered. The diesel crisis has caused us a lot of trouble."
And something to gladden the hearts of real Porsche sports car enthusiasts:
Blume said that going forward, Porsche wanted to focus on products it was good at: "It's emotional, powerful petrol cars and hybrids and from 2019 this will also include all-electric vehicles."
Used to have 2016 Macan Turbo PHCKCL70
Previously a 2014 Macan Turbo.
Now a 2021 Tesla Model 3 LR

This might be related to the news that the performance brands in the VAG stable are splitting off to avoid the dilution of prestige.

Will be very interesting to see how they treat their 'experimental' diesel clients, once the time to trade/switch comes?

TBH I've lost track of how legal my diesel currently is! I have a suspicion that if it wasn't for Brexit I would have to turn it in in 2020... some form of engine amnesty?
