Anyone on here get a recent invitation to Silverstone for a full day sampling all of the Porsche range day??

Any of my NI friends also?

I got a letter a few weeks back with a few date options and managed to get cheap flights so I said why not....going next week....

Have been before but not for the full day Porsche range, anyone done one of those days and what to expect??

Yes, did it last year, took my daughter and we were able to drive full range some on their tracks and some out on local roads. Also taken on their off road track with a Cayenne being driven by one of their team. A good day out.

We did this a while back, although it was called a range experience and lasted 1/2 a day.

Drove 2 911s, one PDK and one manual, a boxster (all 3 on the tracks / skid plates / ice hills etc)

Then went out on the A roads in a Macan (2.0☹️) and a hybrid Panamera which was very interesting, and finally out on the 4x4 circuit in a new Cayenne (driven by an instructor)

Worthwhile, nice breakfast / lunch as usual....

Also did this last year. Really great day out. Ex police instructor on open road had some interesting insights when driving Panny. :D

Have had a couple of invitations but haven't made it over yet. Not sure how well it works as wife and 2 kids would likely want to come too. Friend went last year for the half day trip and said it was an excellent day as many on here have reported.

ok - was just wondering when they say full range, what does that mean?
If there are a few 911, Cayman, Boxster, Panamera along with Cayenne & Macan then great - wonder if there are any GT cars there....??
GT3? Hardly that lucky.....lol...

Will update when I am done with a few pic etc....

Should be 911, 718, Panamera and Cayenne. Probably the current model Macan too.

They have GT cars on site, but these aren’t included in the range days.

Have fun! :)

It's quite normal to be invited to a range day once you've had your car for 18-24 months as they are trying to get you thinking about what to have next. You might get to drive a 911 GTS but no chance of a GT3 or greater. Still good fun though and the offroad capabilities of the Cayenne are surprisingly good. As wingCo says you will get to drive 718, Panamera, Macan, 911 and you get taken around the offroad course and track in a Cayenne. Lunch or breakfast also usually very good

It’s a great day out and you will get to drive all the models.
I did call and asked if I could drive some specific models which. They kindly arranged for me.

You can also pay a little extra and drive specific models like a 911 Turbo. At least you could a few months ago.

It really is a great experience and some very experienced drivers. Got taken out on GT models (but I didn’t drive them)

It’s the 911R sitting at the entrance I want to have a real play with 😀
