I saved a fortune on BlackFriday — I didn’t buy anything

Black Friday is just another American sales boost, I can do without it

I’m always amazed when in sales people say how much they have saved not how much they have spent,

I agree, but it turned out last year that most things in the Black Friday sales were actually on sale cheaper at various other times of the year. So there's an element of trickery going on here. So I tend to just buy things when I actually need them, which doesn't often tie in with the Black Friday sales. However, I was very tempted to buy a new TV this weekend, but I know they will continue to discount them in the run up to Christmas and with 2019 models appearing soon after. Black Friday is no big deal really.
