you need your eyes tested.

1. the bonnet is a different shape (and horrible)
2. the air intake at the back is split in the middle
3. the exhaust is integrated with the rear bumper (more GT2 RS like)
4. the front is in line with the new design language as seen on the Cayenne & Panmera.

those are the ones that i can see without looking for differences...

here's somewhere that may help you... https://www.specsavers.co.uk/
Like I said, a mild facelift.
Just all's that needed. Why make a 911 look or be anything other than a 911??
I don't disagree, just find it hard to get excited about it compared to the last few "facelifts". Now if the interior and tech is a big step forward and it drives a lot better, then I could start to warm up to it, but right now I'm thinking it looks like a 991 with different bumpers. Nothing wrong with that, but I'm not getting any lust over it either. The last change to the 911 that had any real impact on me was the 997, which was a huge improvement all round over the 996 and worthy of upgrading. The 991 didn't do much for me over the 997 to be honest, so I'm wondering if they've finally run out of steam with 911 development.

Yawn, a 911 is great to drive but come on folks it is dull to look at and that has been the case for donkeys years.

I for one cannot tell the difference between a 911 from 2000 and one now and am I bothered, no, hence I for one do not have nor will have the 911 itch.

I can't imagine that anyone on here who owns a 911 actually bought it for its looks!

Actually I think the 911 looks great as long as it's in coupe form and not too much bolt-on aero!

I 100% agree with that but I still don’t think anyone bought theirs for its looks

Once had a 996 and was in the local petrol station after a good wash (the car that is!) and the cashier asked if it was a "new" model 911? This was when the 997 had been out for several years.

I think people buy them for their everyday practicality as a sports car and I'm sure looks play a big part in the decision too. If it was an ugly beast with the same performance then I very much doubt it would sell anywhere near as well. I certainly wouldn't have bought one if I didn't like the looks and look how quickly they back-pedalled on the original 996 headlights!

Purchasers of 911 don’t just buy them for their looks ,it’s the way they perform, how they handle etc,if people can’t tell the difference between a 2000 model and a 2017 model then I seriously be concerned about their eyesight they’re completely different,as for not having the itch for a 911 even if you had the itch you’d still have to be able to get in and out of it.
