I think you are. The rear seats are practically on top of the axle. It s the whole point of the 911. Shove the engine as far back as possible to make room for interior space.

The engine in a 911 is behind the gearbox / diff assembly. The diff has to be roughly in line with the driven wheels, back ones that is so by definition the engine is still behind the rear axle. The twenty mm move forward is down to a closer coupling to the diff / gearbox I believe. The slight move forward in engine weight is probably negated by the extra weight of the newly fitted particulate filters in the exhaust. A 992 is a heavier car than a 991. :D

I think I was very restrained on my Carrera T with options only being 4.2% of the basic price of the car. 😇

Didn’t add too much to my Macan. Maybe around 10-11%.

991.1 C2 was second hand, but did spend out on a retro-fit Sport Design kit including ducktail!

Went a bit mad on the Panamera 4, with about 18-19% in options, but got a decent trade in anyway. :)

My JWW is good as it highlights at 3'40 that the engine is 20cm farther forward than it used to be.
Makes it almost mid-engined :)
Nice video. Thanks for sharing. :)

Mr JWW seems mightily impressed with the 992 platform. Looks good in red too.

Am just going to search out the Henry Catchpole road test...

Here we go...

Henry really likes the 992 too. And he prefers the Carrera S C2 to the C4.

I think JWW and catchpole drove the same car on the same day. Henry got to drive on track too.

^^^ Yep, looks like it. Both red Carrera S C2 with red seat belts.

They came to similar conclusions.

I slightly prefer Henry’s delivery style.

20mm sounds much more likely than 20cm! :D

I had fat fingers and plainly meant 20mm. Apologies
