Hi all, I've just locked down my spec today and expecting one of the first 5 cars from my OPC built in March.
I don't expect to do as well financially as with my Macan PP but hey you live once and I think the car will be good news for at least 2 years. Early reviews are very exciting and I'm soo excited to get my first 911!

Wow! A lot of totally pointless expenditure in there IMO but each to their own.

Pictures when you get it and congrats on the order

Actually all that weight will add 1.5 seconds to 0-60 [emoji15]

mcnallys wrote: Mon Jan 21, 2019 7:26 pm OK troops, What is your feeling on lead times for a 992 S - could be 1 yr or 1.5 yr if I order say in March / April. Ideally would look to get August / Sept 2020. Macan owned outright by then and hopeful from 20k circa for my S3, mega low mileage 5 years old and 20k miles.

Was looking at moving house, but huge jump locally for not much more of a house - so the boss has agreed that ‘she’ should get a 911 and enjoy it / keep for a while.

Been informed that there around 40 names on the list in Belfast - but that’s for GT cars et al.

All sorts of Configs done, circa 105k. Colour is biggest problem, tempted for lava or Carrara white (or free Guards). Help required, should pass over the 3k or wait for brexit effect. The extra 10% doesn’t sit well with me - would rather go a used 991.2 4 GTS at that rate.
Get on the list, to make sure it is an option. £5k refundable ‘up until notified of delivery date’, so tell ‘em to pencil you in and see how the cards fall.

Think there will be plenty of stock about, was offered a build even before I had placed a deposit, so think lead times will be academic if you have already placed a deposit. As for myself, I am keeping a rolling slot until I am ready for mine.....

Let us knwo your spec.

But the OCP promised me that carbon fibre trim and red dials knocks at least 0.5 seconds off the 0 - 60 time

Jokes aside, I nearly got a 991.2 C4 GTS and that was 120k so the way I look at it this is basically a similar car with options not as heavily subsidised as a GTS model so I'm basically paying for a lot of the options. There's a few I could have got rid of, but then I thought what's an extra £100 or so a month all things considered....It's my first 911 and I'm so excited that I'm alive and well to enjoy it, so I'm going to! 8-)
