Good result (and out of the Cayenne for “nothing” )
For what it’s worth I’ve always felt the Targa us a bit something and nothing; not quite a convertible but not quite a coupe!
You’ll love the GTS
Enough is enough. Cayenne to go back

What a great result. I'm sure you're going to love the 4GTS coupe. The Targa is an acquired taste aesthetically speaking.

Fantastic result and a fantastic car
As always when problems occur it’s how they are resolved that matters.

To be honest as you were only £8K away on their original offer I thought that would be the fairest outcome for you and from their point of view would hope to keep you on board as a customer.
Good outcome and hope you enjoy the new car.

Great news! Sounds like (eventually) a very fair outcome to me.smithy37 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 04, 2019 5:56 pm
Effectively I have swapped into a brand new 991.2 Carrera 4 GTS and no money has changed hands. The new car is in my signature.
Was going for a beautiful crayon targa but after driving that and a coupe back to back and having both cars stood next to each other I chose the coupe. Hope I don’t live to regret not being bolder and going for the Targa.
I’ve uploaded some pretty low res snaps. More to follow next week when I hopefully collect her.

The GTS looks awesome!
The Targa is eye catching and a bit of a boulevard cruiser, but I think that the coupé is the far more sensible choice.
Wishing you happiness and fun in the 911, and looking forward to more pics...!
And enjoy the collection!

It was a great outcome & I really appreciate the DP stepping in to micromanage the details. When we were £8k apart I thought I was on a hiding to nothing. So I was a little surprised we got here so quickly after my initial disappointment.
Whilst we were there I spotted another Cayenne Turbo sat follornly in the car park and joked what is that in for. The answer was PCM. Should I have been surprised? I was only joking after all.
To all those waiting on, or receiving, new Cayennes the PCM has allegedly been updated. So hopefully you won’t have any of the issues I have encountered.
I’m too far gone to take the risk on another Cayenne, but I’d be happy for you all to prove me wrong. Enjoy!!
