^^^ Cost is all relative, but certainly in Porsche World, that part is one of the less expensive ones to replace on a Porsche.

Apologies, another random one. As part of my work insurance I have had to activate the Porsche tracker. What do people do with the fob or use to carry it round in?
Thanks

Well best of luck getting it replaced if you ever need to, there is only one part number for a front spoiler that fits a 991.2 GTS and it comes in Primer. The black unpainted side skirts on a 991.2 GTS are not the same, they are definitely a moulded black material and my information source is the Porsche Centre.Nuclear Nick wrote: ↑Sat Jan 05, 2019 11:20 amLike VanB, I've checked the front splitter and it's plain back plastic, unpainted. Ditto the side skirts and the rear panel around the exhausts.adrian991 wrote: ↑Sat Jan 05, 2019 12:21 amDefinitely got the right car, and after having had four 911s ( all 991s) I would always specify front axle lift with the 20mm Sport PASM option. By the way it doesn’t have to be a rutted track, if you ever drive the Old Military Road, roads on Skye or the NC 500 in Scotland or any of the more challenging roads in the Lake District without scraping the splitter then you will be very lucky as there are sections of those roads which are not great in terms of the surface quality.VanB wrote: ↑Fri Jan 04, 2019 5:18 pm Maybe he went for painted options? I didn't go for the 10mm option but stuck with the -20mm and the unpainted trim on front splitter and sideskirts etc in anticipation of potential problems. In reality, I rarely have an issue in grounding unless there is an exceptionally large speed bump or unusually steep gradient to a ramp so very much doubt it should be an issue for the OP unless he lives up a steep hill with a rutted track in which case he's bought the wrong car
By the way it is definitely painted and if you don’t believe it, just take a sharp knife and gently scrape a bit of the paint away underneath where you won’t notice it. It’s a very dark grey Primer colour.

^^^ I also use the Rennlist (991 Forum) site, although the majority of contributors are in the US. It is an interesting & informative site nonetheless.

Adrian, I'm not entirely convinced that we are talking about the same thing so have asked my OPC to explain to me in words of one syllable and give me a part number. Absolutely not disputing your position but I think it would be good to know for sure for all of us. There’s lots on Rennlist of ‘yes it is’ ‘no it isn’t ‘, so they’re just as confused over there!

^^^ Yes indeed, Nick. Certainly not in any way superior to our little forum. Just a much bigger affair, more international and a huge amount of content with mini-forums for various models and ages of Porsches.
