I have no issue with them returning as long as it is straight in to a jail cell for the rest of their lives

As a UK passport holder it is difficult to stop them returning unfortunately

The title of this area of the forum is 'Off Topic' The place to discuss everything else. . If you don't want to read posts which are 'off topic' why read them?

I think you have to view it on a case by case basis. There is a strong possibility that some of these people could be even more dangerous outside the UK in influencing others here remotely. Maybe those types would be better off locked up in the UK? Those with genuine remorse in hindsight could actually become effective role models for preventing future radicalisation of others - we see this kind of thing often with notorious ex-criminals turning good. Then there are others who could make good bait for flushing out hidden UK terrorist cells. So I don't think it's quite as simple as it sounds. A bit like Brexit, lol
