Jaguar Land Rover is recalling more than 44,000 cars, made between 2016 and 2019, because they are producing excessive carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions.
Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) is recalling 10 different models of car with either a 2.0-litre diesel or 2.0-litre petrol engine. This is after routine testing found these cars ‘do not consistently achieve the certified levels’ of CO2.
A full list of the cars affected can be found below, but include the Land Rover Discovery, Land Rover Discovery Sport, Range Rover Evoque, Jaguar XE and Jaguar F-Pace, among others.
Owners of these cars will soon be contacted and asked to bring their car into a JLR authorised repairer to receive repairs and software updates.
JLR says owners may experience minor changes to the ‘overall vehicle experience’, and that certain 2016-2017 Range Rover Evoque models will need new tyres fitted.

Just out of interest, would that be tyres or wheels?!

I feel a bit sorry for car manufacturers.

But I suppose they only have themselves to blame......

New tyres!? First time I’ve heard of that, linked to this kind of issue. Not too bad if an Evoque driver gets new tyres, free of charge... :?

Oops! My brother bought a 2019 Disco Sport. First it was the gear lever assembled incorrectly, then the keyless entry not working consistently, now this! At least they might fix warranty issues while it's in for this mod....

Spud up the exhaust stuff I would imagine. A bit desperate when they have to go to the expense of low rolling resistance tyres to squeeze it below the emission level. Having said that no doubt the British "jobs worth" regulators have given the British company a much harder time than the Germans did to their manufacturers who seem to have been waved through with a minor tweak

Doubt that! My mate's car has been in and out of service trying to get his electrics fixed. I think he said his lights come on randomly as does his entertainment system! Lol!
