Yes. There seems to be variability across Europe. Germany for example have a 100 day limit. Some are 300 days. No idea what the French one is.
And the charge, like parking fines, are scaled.
€45 - up to 46 days after the notice- which in my case is 25 March.
€68 - between 47-76 days
€180 - after that if you do not appeal
BUT ARE THEY ENFORCEABLE?
I’m paying cos we’re back in France later this year so don’t really want any nasty surprises. Mrs D certainly wouldn’t approve
Ed. Payment extends a further 15 days if payment via Card on their website, via their App or in an approved tobacconist!

The reciprocal arrangement between France and the UK has ceased. The French chase UK owners, as that is their law. But the UK don't chase the French, as our law states, we need the driver committing the offence. Obviously that's too much grief finding who was driving.
Indeed. Should be thankful really. And £80 less to spend in French establishments on the next trip.

On my first factory trip with PCGB, in1997. One of the group had a radar detector in his car, I think it was dash mounted. The Gendarmerie pulled him and kept him for hours. They were going to confiscate his equipment, but decided against it. Eventually letting him go, without penalty. But they said it was a serious offence in France.
Someone also said that if you pass between the Peage's, exceeding the speed limit, the Gendarmerie will be waiting at the third stop to nab you. Not confirmed, may I add.
