What a FANTASTIC day we had, due to having to drop my daughter at Guide Camp in the morning we unfortunately missed the complimentary breakfast and introduction at the hospitality centre but we grabbed a lovely coffee and headed out to watch the 911's in their qualifying round. It was my first time ever at a motorsport event and the sounds were awesome, it was very wet and windy but I didn't care AT ALL!!
We headed back to the hospitality area and had some lunch Mmmmm then off on a guided paddock tour which was so informative and all the Porsche staff were so friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. We got to speak to Dan Harper who races in the cup and actually won the race later in the afternoon! There was a product demo of the Cayenne Hybrid and the new 911. We had some more drinks and warmed up and then headed out for the BTCC qualifying for tomorrow and then the Carrera race. We got a little goody bag to take home (you know hat, pen, flag) and the sun was finally shining when we walked back to the car.
It was such a great day and I'm so grateful for Porsche Nottingham who invited us along!! Even more excited about picking the car up (hopefully next weekend) now, eeeeek!!!!!!
