Congrats, Derek! :)

Am guessing that the above spec on a new 992, albeit the base car, will be quite a lot more than the 2018 991 that you were looking at. ;)

I saw a white 992 out on the road (M25) the other weekend. I passed it and it was following me for a while before he turned off. Looked good - wide and low, great presence on the road.

If I had a white 911, I don’t think that I could resist putting Martini stripes on it.

Fully agree with heated wheel & auto-dimming mirrors/rain sensor. I find my 4-way Sport Seats Plus just great too, although the 992 seat looks a bit different to the 991 seats.

The Crayon seat belts will need care. I have Racing Yellow seat belts and after 18,600 miles, if you look closely, they are no longer pristine.

Hi Wingco. The 2018 991 was 77k. I reckon the price on my 992 will be about 87k (base price not 100% clear yet). Stripes are "interesting" .... but feel I'm a bit too old for them. Yeah, I thought that about crayon belts but they so finish the look...

Hi Derek,

£87k sounds very good. The new list price of my 2018 991.2 Carrera T was £89,235, including just a few options and excluding road tax and first registration fee. Although mine has 20” Carrera S wheels, Porsche Sports Exhaust and Sport Chrono etc, it does not have PDK, sunroof or Surround View etc.

Bearing in mind the improvements of the 992 over the 991, I think £87k could be considered a bit of a bargain, in relative terms. :)

Cheers,
Simon
