Go for it @salty. The 718 is a gem of a car and the engine peachy. Like @gtipirelli, I live with it as a daily driver (CGTS) and it's docile until prodded. I wear lead soled shoes and get approx 27.5 mpg in mostly town and rural driving.
I bought the 718 GTS and have to say that I like it. The engine may not be as sweet as the flat 6 but the extra torque is great. I got nearly 38mpg on a recent trip although admittedly didn’t push it at all.
I’ve just booked up my Tour of France for next year so looking forward to that.

I’m really enjoying the 718. I had it detailed by DDB in Newcastle and they did a great job!

I was told by an OPC SE this week that the F6 is definitely coming back to the Cayster and the 4 pot has been a flop. Sounds like they will be using a detuned version of the Carrera engine at around 370 hp. If this is correct I would hold off buying a 4 pot 718

If true, that’s not much of a de-tune, as the base 991.2 Carrera engine does produce 370hp, and the 992 is 385hp.

I think Porsche is becoming less concerned about blurring the lines between the Cayster and 911 in performance terms as it isn’t ultimately performance numbers that dictate what people buy. If someone wants a 911 that’s what they’ll buy even if there is a quicker Cayster

Yes Midnight blue. Looks great when the sun catches it. That’s not often here in the NE though
