Just been looking at a news item, that a pro Corbyn, left wing think tank is talking about banning all, and that means all, private cars by the year 2030.
The think tank includes Greenpeace, and another group called Common Wealth. That sounds very much like a communist, thinking think tank.
So it sounds like that the status of owners of privately owned cars, is included in the focus.

I wouldn't expect Corbyn to be in power for too many years after the next election though. Maybe 2 or 3 years? Difficult to see much beyond that or what the balance of Parliament might look like when there's only rump England to worry about.

It's a think tank it's supposed to propose ideas from all extremes.

Sounds like a Russian Tank, disguised as a Think Tank [emoji41]

Were previously successful examples mentioned, e.g. the Trabant or other marques that were hugely popular in countries with ‘well regulated means of production’? [emoji38]

Sounds like another mischievous linking to ensure he's unelectable!

Of course they are pro him but is he quite so keen on them?

Totally impractical for those who live in rural areas. For large urban conurbations makes environmental sense. The problem is the areas which fall between the two.

It would help if we had cheap, reliable public transport.

12 miles to walk to work...... no worries

No surprise there then. Labour/Momentum are a reactive party. Something happens and Corbyn will appear on the scene with his creepy crew. Like the Dam in Whalley Bridge. The bloke is set in his ways and is just a campaigner with a populist agenda he can't deliver. I always wondered how these Greenpeace people get around the globe protesting, on horseback maybe? David Shuckman of the BBC is the same. He has more airmiles than most pilots.

Boris will bungle Brexit, there will be an election and the Tories will disappear. Labour will muster 100 seats and the Lid Dems will form a coalition with the rest to form a Government. God, I hope not.
