Why is that price so surprising to you guys for the “Turbo S” version of the Taycan? (With the “Turbo” around £105k, as guesstimated by Autocar.)
The Cayenne Turbo S is £123,349.
The Panamera Turbo S is £140,132!
The basic Cayenne is £57,195 and the base Panamera 4 is £72,890.
So the Cayenne Turbo S is more than double the price of the base Cayenne. And the Panamera Turbo S is nearly double the price of the lowliest Panamera.
In view of this existing pricing regime, £120k to £130k or so for the fastest & best equipped Taycan seems perfectly predictable - even good value compared to its Panamera cousin?!
And given the above ratios between Turbo S and base models, no reason why the base Taycan won’t start much lower, given that the cheapest Panamera is nearly £73k and the cheapest 911 is just under £83k.
Not sure where the £60k figure came from?
Somewhere between the starting price for Panamera and 911 would be my guess...
