Yep, pretty sure it's the "passenger's screen" display. :geek:

+1 Looks like a very pleasant place to be except.... the shiny black surface and the over-emphasis on touch screen control. The basic premise of good design that 'form follows function' has gone walkabout in that respect.
Sadly, this seems the way of the future, Mike.

Seems that way - until, in the words of decision-makers throughout the world, 'SOMETHING SIGNIFICANT HAPPENS'!

Or government-speak for a FATALITY!

Just how much of distraction touchscreens are remains to be proven in the same way that mobile phone usage has been analysed. Now its handsfree, and after that I don't doubt that Alexa/Siri systems in cars will be looked at. What the scientific difference is between this and a regular conversation with a passenger has yet to be explained.

Or maybe total autonomy will arrive first! Or a group of Oxford dons will convince government to ban all vehicles entirely! Except pushbikes!

Meanwhile, back at the subject in hand. Not sensible design solution for any vehicle - particularly for a high powered car. Eyes should be on the road at all possible times. And the attitude of a switch should be tactile and not be an LED buried under your elbow.

I'm sure some third party will be offering a 'noise s/w option' before too long.

Does anyone else think the sports chrono looks like an anachronism in an otherwise modern futuristic cockpit? I know it's a Prosche heritage item but surely it's time (pun intended) to move on.

At least it looks like the key/fob is no longer sticking out of the dash

That 4th screen is optional & can only be activated when someone is sitting in the passenger seat. :ugeek:

Very "Star Trek" IMO

I don't know if it exists but a HUD would be sensible and agree about the comments re the sports chrono wart. All that said it does look like a very nice place to be although seems a bit OTT for a sporting focused car.

Overall, they’re clearly trying to retain quite a bit of the Porsche/911 DNA in the interior of their all-new electric vehicle. I think it’s a pretty good effort. Sounds like there’s going to be a huge array of choices available with which to personalise the interior of your Taycan, including non-leather options. Looks to me like a much nicer place to be than inside a Tesla. :P
