Hi All,

Have brought forward our build for 911 s, so we are off to PEC in early Oct and locking down a bit after.

Our colour choice is between Lava Orange or Crayon....... struggling to decide

I am now 65% on Team Lava, with the other half being 50/50 Lava/Crayon

Both with Satin Blacks Carrera S wheels, black badges and headlights, etc. Also going side skirts, etc

Code is - http://www.porsche-code.com/PLCLS171

Also, thoughts on Alcantara headlining - waste of money or not?

Help/thoughts

The Crayon colour is possibly a bit more "subdued" although both look great.

I like the Alcantara headlining.

A lot of Porsche options are "a waste of money"

I would definitely go Lava over crayon as I think the 911 looks very special in brighter colours.

I have alcantara headlining in the GTS and it does add a luxury feel.

How about this mega spec car. Would save arguing over the colour.

I just found a great car on Auto Trader.

Already spotted that one - Miami Blue is 3rd choice.

Great spec and would be a good purchase

My first thoughts on crayon were - WOW.

But nowadays lots and lots of manufacturers are offering it and it looks bland to these old eyes. I'd imagine it would fall out of fashion very quickly. And you will have paid what, around £1600, just to exchange the colour of a flat coat of paint? Really?

Hi Simon,

Well, having a Racing Yellow 911, you won't be surprised to hear that I'd go for Lava over Crayon. Have seen a Lava 911 in the metal & it looked great. My only slight reservation is that in some lights, Lava Orange can look a bit Salmon Pink.

Don't think I'd pay extra for Alcantara headlining. I'm not even sure if my T has Alcantara headlining - it feels like it, but I certainly didn't spec it as an extra option, so maybe it was standard. Not worth forking out extra cash for though, in my view.

Cheers,
Simon

There is a lot of dealer margin in that car if you fancy a punt on it.(I know what the dealer paid for it)
