my sister has a new Q3 s-line and it feels very low rent and plasticky inside compared to my Macan (but mine does have the full extended leather)

A 'standard' Macan is also quite plasticky. A dealer once told me that once you've stepped inside a Macan with full leather interior, it's hard to go back to a standard interior. Luckily Porsche offers all kinds of interior options so you can get the right balance of plastic and leather. At a price of course. I've got the full GTS interior package which is very good, however Porsche still offer tonnes of additional leather options. Money no object - leather seat carcasses, sun visors, mirror coverings...
