What are dealers telling those expecting delivery next month?

Do they have a cut off date e.g. if we leave on 31st and your car's on the boat you don't pay the 10% tax?

Mine has agreed that they will keep the car as stock and that if there is a 10% hike I have the option to leave it with them. Expected date 31st Oct!!!

They should do the honourable thing and keep our price fixed. Just think they will benefit from 10% increase in value of all used stock under 12 months so they can cover any losses for new customers.
In reality, if the 10% comes in, it won’t last for long as German car sales to UK won’t stand that sort of increase, your approach of leaving the car as stock in Germany makes sense.

My Gen 2 turbo (first ever Porsche) is in build at the moment, for an expected Nov del.

The OPC showed me an email from someone up the Porsche chain saying " we will not lose sales as a result of the potential Brexit duty" and consequently we wrote into the sale agreement an amendment that I can walk away IF they apply any duty increase at all. The inference was that they would honour the price or I could walk.

For what it's worth Boris Johnson is on record as saying that it is not his intention to impose tariffs on imports from the EU in a "no deal" scenario. I would advise taking that with a healthy pinch of salt given that he has also today referred to the EU 27 as hostiles.

Sadly the alternatives (at least in the U.K.) are fat, far worse [emoji15]

Whatever any of them say it will be twisted (lies) towards their own agenda. It will be 'tit for tat' - if they tax our stuff we will tax their stuff, it cannot be any other way. The plus side to that is that we buy more of their stuff than they buy of our stuff.
