Wish me luck.
Good luck. Although to be fair, I think they offer good value for money (compared to Porsche)! ;)

Maybe the way forward is a base 992 + Litchfield upgrade. The total (including suspension) would likely be less than a 992S

I agree! (If not concerned about Porsche warranty) ;)

For me, it’s worth the calculated risk. :geek:

I would certainly consider it if I decide to replace the GTS although I agree with others that it seems strange that the base can be upgraded to the same power as the S can be

Yes but there are internal differences which means you are pushing the existing bits further on standard car

I just can’t bring myself to risk causing any issues with a new £100k plus car with a Porsche warranty

Don’t get me wrong I used to do it all the time in my twin turbo bmw engines I had back in the day and took the time to understand what had been done and why but when my last one flagged up as a mapped car with the dealer I got the wobbles.

My tuned exige is running c100bhp more than it left the factory and i accept one day the gearbox might go pop like my last one did.

With the 992 I just can’t do it and nor do I feel I need more speed from it. If Porsche can refuse a warranty claim for running non N rated tyres then they will definitely drop you like a hot potato if anything else goes wrong !

You are such a killjoy!

I’m not really sure what you would want to up grade outside the suspension (maybe the brakes too but normally so good why bother

Ha ha

Everything is developed to make it a great all rounder so yes you can sort the suspension to handle better but you then compromise comfort. Porsche have spent millions developing the car to the best they can to get the balance right. Deviate from there and something can suffer !

I tweaked my last exige so much that I actually stopped using it on the road for fun because it was just so raw and therefore no Real fun as it would come in to its sweat spot at too higher speed.

My only concern with this 195ps remap would be insurance. Most insurers limit the car to a performance percentage increase, which I think is around the 20% mark. With this being more than a 50% hike I suspect you would need to seek out a specialist insurer rather than one of the mainstream lot.

To be fair all of these cars as stock are way quicker than can practically be used to their potential on a public road in any case.
