That is some impressive gains on their 992 Carrera S.

If the figures aren’t a typo, it’s even more impressive for the base Carrera. Nearly 200PS increase just from a re-map.
Wow!

Impressive and it looks like the new 992 base engine is simply a 992s engine tuned back in the ECU, nothing else. I suppose its cheaper that way.

I don’t think they’ve worked on a base Carrera 992 yet.

Looks like the S has bigger turbos than the non-S 992 Carrera.

The power they’ve got from the 992 Carrera 4S is certainly more than they quoted from a tuned 991.2 GTS.

Am still loving my T that’s had a comprehensive Litchfield upgrade. :)

But if you read their website Litchfield themselves are quoting 200PS gains for the base model. At first I thought they’d copied & pasted the wrong information, but they talk about it in the blurb prior to the quoted figures.

I am talking to Litchfield about re-mapping my 450ps GTS currently but I’ll be lucky if I get a 70PS increase just from re-mapping alone.
To be able to take a base 992 from 385PS to 580PS for a little over a grand makes this a really interesting proposition.

^^^ Slight inconsistency between the Litchfield site and the Pistonheads article. Still seems puzzling that they quote the same end result bhp regardless of Carrera or Carrera S, bearing in mind bigger turbos in the S etc... :?

I agree and thought it was a typo, but their website states 195bhp increase and base Carrera. That’s not a typo, as the maths don’t add up on the S model:

“The power gains are huge, with an extra 195 bhp and over 147 lbft (200 Nm) of torque on the standard Carrera model! Despite these Turbo S rivalling power increases our calibrations insures it is just as smooth and civilised to drive as the standard car. We feel we have developed the ultimate software upgrade for the 992 3.0T engine.”

Whatever the exact details, I have great faith in Litchfield and I believe that they do fantastic work, which has lead to an excellent reputation.

Well I’ve finally got my quote from Iain at Litchfield. Just attempting to haggle.
Wish me luck.
