Going to be in Germany for Easter & wanted to do the Porsche museum & factory tour. There will be 6 of us, 2 adults & 4 kids.
Just after some booking advice please as their website doesn’t offer any pre-book options as far as I can tell.
Looking at Tuesday 14th or Wednesday 15th so assume it’ll be open?
Any age restrictions for kids?
Assume I can do the museum & add on a factory tour?
If so, 911/718 or Taycan factory tour?

Thanks.

As far as I can remember the museum was shut on Mondays. The factory tour was pre-bookable back in April 2017.
We found it all very interesting, although they are a bit full of themselves, but I suppose the same would be at BMW world in Munich.

Factory tour pre-bookable via e-mail or phone, I think that's how we did it:

Thanks for all the advice.
I’ll drop them an email.
Will be travelling over from Munich on the train so need to make sure I’ll get in. Long way to go if I’m leaving entry to chance.

Yes, that's how we did it, museum and factory tour pre booked. Well worth the visit too.

Typical German efficiency. Emailed last night & received a very comprehensive response this morning.
In a nutshell factory tours need to be pre-booked. Museum entry has no pre-booking facilities and is pay on the day.

My only issue now is child ages. Tours are for over 12’s and I have an 8 & a 9 year old. I’m going to see if I can pay for a private tour, only 60 euros more, which might help me bend the rules.

I’ll let you know how I get on.

Unfortunately Porsche will not move on their Under 12 stance taking the factory tour, even if it was just a private group.

So, do I sack the trip off and stay in Munich (plenty to do as a family) or do I see if I can find something else for them to do in or around the Porsche museum?
Wife has suggested I do the tour on my own and they do the museum, but then I miss out on the museum. She isn't the bravest of souls negotiating strange cities, so I don't want her attempting to go off into the great German yonder neither.

Any suggestions folks?

If you time it right you could all do the museum then they could chill in the cafe while you do the factory tour.

Thanks Nick.

We had discussed that possibility but I don’t want them getting bored. I’ll have a think on it.
