I was talking to the a SA at Belfast OPC this afternoon and he told me he had the unenviable task of ringing around their privileged GT4 customers warning them of this development. Safe to say they weren't best pleased. Not feeling so privileged now

Being naturally aspirated, rather than turbo, might reduce the potential for increasing the power, but would be easy to reverse the Porsche de-tune and get it back to 718 GT4 power.

That would be your best bet but surely not worth the risk this time!

It’s only the engine the rest of GT product will be more focused but agree the main selling point was that engine !!

I suspect the performance has been deliberately subdued in order not to encroach on other models. Still would be a lovely car with a 4.0 N/A power unit
