Had a wonderful morning at the Porsche Experience Centre at Silverstone today. I drove a Cayenne S whilst my son had a play in a 911. The instructor showed me how good the Cayenne is and how the new chassis and suspension makes it handle almost like a sports car, not a big SUV weighing well over 2 tonnes.

My son, not known for his praise of his father’s driving, was even moved to comment how fast I was pedalling - that was before he went blasting past me.

If you’ve not been, I heartily recommend it.
So when is this ‘old enough to know better’ supposed to kick in ?

Glad you had fun Taz. Definitely, a fun experience and a good marketing tool. I've even paid to go there for a driving experience.

A year later, I am yet to go to the Silverstone centre!
Now that Tycan is getting out, perhaps I should wait few weeks more and get a ride in Macan and Tycan!
Current: 911 Carrera T - PPM9RU51
On order: 911 Targa 4S - PPDV8NY4
