I ran a Cayenne diesel for two years from 2013 and loved it. When I ordered my Macan SD, delivery was 14 months which would have taken the Cayenne to three years old. Always had slight regrets that the Macan turned up early. However, the new Cayenne is a bigger car than the Series 2 was and there is no way I would go back now.

I wondered for a minute why they were quoting 4.6secs for a Macan S, then realise it was 0-60, not 0-62mph.

Fully agree with the verdict, I have tried to like the the feel, drive and look of the Cayenne and yes of course it is a lot bigger but just doesn’t come close for me. Would take a Macan every time

I've had both, Macan GTS and now Cayenne ehybrid and having read the article would mostly agree with the findings. I'm happy with the Cayenne I have now, but as the article says they are different cars, the Macan, especially a GTS is much closer to a full on sports car than the Cayenne which is much more a super sports utility vehicle.
