Thanks for sharing, Steve. What strikes me though, is that most of those 10 cars have only recently been launched, and certainly were not for sale in the UK three years ago, so this list is mostly educated guesswork. ;)

Or based on PCP / HP final balloon figures underwritten by the finance houses, including VAG Finance. ;) ;)

My 3 yr old SD achieved 64% of its new price even with trading-in to an OPC.

When I exchanged my five year old SD, its value was 41% of the purchase price (including options). To me that confirms that the Macan is a slow depreciator.

The problem with those residuals is that they are based on PCP balloons and are only based on list price. Nearly all Porsches have extra spec (at least 10k on top).

In reality the residuals are likely to be better than the balloon payment for most cars as the balloons are set conservatively, it's certainly true for Porsches.

Looking at Auto Trader, asking prices for a car like we bought last year haven't dropped at all - despite the car being a year older.
