As above (and BigPhil) I always fitted Bosche Aeros to my SD and GTS, usually from Amazon or Euro Car Parts at a fraction of the price (and no labour as Roadrunner says 😉)

Why is a PDK oil change so expensive??
Is it a (very) lengthy process that requires (highly) specialised skills?
Hmmmmm? :-)

All that glass polishing at the dealership takes time and effort. Having a dozen people floating around all day doing nothing is expensive. Keeping up employment and the economy going is good Tory policy. You either pay it in taxes or high service charges or both

Don’t be afraid to call them out on some of the things they try to add in, they’re always hunting for work and more money. As someone that had to have a new PDK gearbox (circa £18k) the fact they can now be serviced and aren’t looked at as a sealed unit is a positive regardless of the cost to service.

Have experience of brooklands, Guildford and RSJ. The technicians at RSJ are good so you won’t have a problem there. I found Guildford to be cheaper and more responsive than Brooklands, but have always got quotes from a number of different OPCs and then got them to match the cheapest (often South London).
Regarding the wipers, just watch out as on both my previous 911 and Boxster they have told me my warranty is invalid if I use the normal Bosch wipers, need the Porsche branded ones. (Again the difference in price to keep a warranty was worth it)

PS the best one was £58 quoted for a new battery in the car key. Needless to say that isn’t a Porsche branded battery and I bought one for £2…..
