Does anyone have a powered cool bag/box / fridge they can recommend? I see Porsche do a cool bag @ £120 but...?

I've got the Porsche cool box, the only thing I managed to blag free from the OPC when I bought my SD. I really rate it, I fill it with cold cans in the summer and it keeps them cool all day no problem, it will cool them down from room temperature but putting them in cold is best. I can recommend it but there are similar (may even be the same one with different branding) around. Have a look on Amazon, I do rate my one though.

I too have the Porsche one, and I echo BigPhil's comments. However, it is really limited to keeping things cool, rather than cooling them down. For this reason I would consider buying a different one that also has a 240V mains plug so that you can also keep the stuff cool in your hotel room also. The mini bar fridge is usually too small for all the beers/provisions that I carry.

It would be more for preservation. We're travelling through France and Spain and want to stock up with meats and cheeses. And wine 🙄 but that's got nothing to do with it. Dandock2017-02-24 12:59:01

Try to see one before you buy. It's not that large inside.

I did read somewhere that if you go for the Porsche one it covers the boot light!

Telequipment pic looks fine with the light well clear.

You can get very similar stuff (not quite as pretty I grant you) from your local caravan shop.
I've had a powered cool-box for a good few years now. Modest size and capacity (fine for meats and cheeses ) but as above, it wont cool stuff down very quickly; more keep it chilled.
Mine has an optional 13amp converter thingy for camp sites and a clever green / red button affair which means it won't drain the car battery if the alternator isn't charging. £35 from memory......but it's in the loft so no pics I'm afraid.

It doesn't cover the light. Mine tucks in fine and plugs into the 12v in the rear. I've got the loadspace management to keep it from moving but it comes with straps to fix it to the boot side. It looks very tidy in place.

As others have said, it doesn't hold a great deal. It cools when the engine is running then automatically shuts off 10 minutes after the engine stops, relying then on the insulation. I use it for cans of drink etc on days out and it's great for that. I've even found them nicely cold the next morning in there.
