Ceramic brakes as standard now?!

you can tell they're changing the rear too. light bar across the whole thing now? not sure that will work on an SUV. But we'll see!

I don't like the light bar.
I do like the current "3d" rear lights, and they're meant to be disappearing.
I'm generally bored with the midsized SUV thing now that everyone and his hamster is doing one.

Other news today says there will never be a proper GT Macan or Cayenne as there's no racing link (unless there's a Dakar entrant from Porsche).

Porsche needs to find a new niche to create/fill.

Looks like the biggest change will be the rear lights, with maybe a drop in capacity for improved emissions?

I'm sure the 3.6 in the turbo is for the chop.

That has to be a racing certainty. Unless they find another way to make it drink less. Quicker diesel a fair bet too.

Current sales prove beyond doubt that Porsche diesel customers don't care much about outright power and performance (happy to take something from Audi yet slower than Audi cars). So I wouldn't expect much improvement on the diesel line except to lower whatever emissions figures are popular

I think the petrols likely to be the twin turbo 2.9L, at least for the faster ones. Wouldn't be surprised if the I4 just gets an evolution of the current Golf engine.

We can dream of the Audi I5, but I fear if you want a characterful engine from Porsche you still need an old flat six.

From what I read the turbo is likely to be the 434 hp 3.0 and the S the 325 hp 2.9. I would be surprised if there weren't a power bump to the 3.0 D as it's easily capable of 300+ hp

I agree. But this is a good thing for pre-facelift Macan owners Wing Commander2017-05-09 18:42:35
