It's the colour I'd go for from the current palette. Delivery next April...?

+2 on the colour choice, but not exactly in love with it. More best of a poor choice scenario for me.

I wasn't a fan of the last one, think this looks a lot better.

Boot size was the biggest factor in a car for my wife, (this was a first for me), and when I listed all the options out there and I began looking the best option was the XC90.

When it came down to it I couldn't pull the trigger on actually owning a volvo

Other than that it was an RS6 Avant, but price was the factor for a 2nd motor doing 3k mile a year.

So, hopefully going back to petrol will help me like this better than the Macan diesel we had.

We'll see!

The old XC90 was definitely "pipe and slippers" or perhaps more accurately "wellies and tweed", but the current one I think is pretty cool. Personally I could never pull the trigger on an Audi because of the vast number of plonkers driving them. You are guaranteed to get tailgated by an Audi on any busy motorway. Had two of the idiots yesterday, both in A5s itching to make a car length's progress in a line of sub 70 mph traffic as far as the eye could see.

So my shortlist at the moment is Volvo XC60 / XC90 and the new Cayenne as an outside bet. But I would have to wait for the hybrid version as my wife in particular is sold on the stealth mode idea. It suits our daily usage pattern too.

I agree that the current XC90 looks pretty cool... 😎

My wife and I drove an XC90 within a week of the current shape being released (back in 2015). It's why we ended up with a Macan...

Totally different vehicles. You either need the extra space of a large SUV or you don't. Not much point in an XC90 if you don't, but then a Macan is no use if you do. At this point I'm wondering about the new Cayenne vs XC90, which is a more obvious comparison.
