Agreed, Macan GTS would be a closer comparison to the SQ5, rather than the top of the range Macan Turbo PP.

I suspect that they were using the latest editions of each model.

Well I’m back happily installed in an SQ5 diesel and my GTS is long gone.
2016 Sapphire GTS with 21 Black Classics.
2018 Sapphire GTS without Black Classics.

I agree, Steve, as the manufacturers would be keen to get publicity for their latest models, but makes for something of a mis-match in a group test... :ugeek:

Change in circumstances, I’m going to be doing around 20k miles per year.
GTS held value well, lost £4,500 in 11 months which was happy with.
Did consider Macan diesel but like the performance of SQ5.
2016 Sapphire GTS with 21 Black Classics.
2018 Sapphire GTS without Black Classics.

Ditto. Great outcome. My SD has probably lost £15-£20k since Oct 2016 by comparison! [emoji44] and only done 6k in it. Definitely keeping for another few years!
