Diesel GONE!
It’s difficult to see just what OPCs are going to sell this year. No diesels, a prolonged shutdown and a probable void as potential buyers wait for the facelift Macan and 911 and a certain 718 reluctance. It doesn’t leave a lot!

Hardly. They are all operating out of there now and the UK launch of the new Cayenne is due to take place there in two weeks' time. It is impressively full of stock at the moment too, inside and out.

I wonder how many SD orders have been converted into petrol S sales? It will be a good test of how much people are prepared to pay in increased fuel usage for the privilege of driving relatively large SUVs. When the first Cayenne diesels appeared they sold like hotcakes next to their petrol guzzling counterparts. I remember our local OPC trying to sell me one on the basis of relatively cheap running costs, but I was pretty underwhelmed with the performance.
The Summer may well be a good time for those who are looking to sell and move to another marque.
No new cars coming from Germany must mean that the OPCs will have to increase their pre owned stock to keep up the cash flow.
Or Porsche could be going flat out building cars with a certain amount of extras built in to produce what the Yanks call Lot Cars to help satisfy the demand.
Irrespective of what Germany does OPCs will still have to maintain cashflow to satisfy their Banks.

WHAT CAR? magazine says:
Porsche has just announced it's ending production of all its diesel models – so used Cayenne diesels might soon be in high demand

Porsche must certainly be pushing to get as many cars out the door before the shutdown if my cars one month early build date show anything. I think they have been upping their production rate formsome time now as there seems to far more lot cars in UK dealerships than ever before.

I hope that my new 911 build has the same experience as yours, Rab!
By coincidence, I had an email from Porsche GB this morning - something to do with Porsche Connect, and thank you for registering.
I can only imagine though, that the email is linked to my 11 month old Panamera, rather than my new Carrera T. I'm popping into the OPC on Friday and I'm sure that they would have mentioned it, if my car was built already & on its way...!?

My 1st MOT also due in May. might ask them to do the 111point check at same time if warranty costs is reasonable. Anyone know what the 2 year warranty cost is . Not bothered about Porsche Assistance as not been impressed in the past.
