Spy shots of the Cayenne Coupe rumoured to debut soon. Is this an indication of a future Macan?

Once they get rid of the fake disguise rear window trim, the back end of it is going to look a lot like this:-

The rear view of that looks to me A LOT like the Tesla Model X.

They just need to electrify it and I might consider buying one when my Model X is up for replacement 8-)

To me the BMW looks like what a previous generation Tesla X might have looked like i.e. some older, less aerodynamic model. Perhaps not surprisingly there are a few ex-BMW coupe drivers on the UK Tesla forum.

Certainly that model does. In fact all BM SUVs do have a very aged look. What I had in mind was the signature BM angled rear quarter light.

What’s also seems apparent is that Cayenne is heavily disguised. In fact I wonder whether they’re old pics as it looks like the previous model - no continuous rear light strip and lots of tape!

After getting used to the Tesla EVERYTHING looks old to me now. A friend of ours has a BMW X5 and came round the other week to look at our Tesla (as he's looking for a change). We were both shocked at the difference when parked side by side, it was almost embarrassing. But he actually thought it was quite funny and went away seriously thinking (he was just going to get another BMW as default). I was once a big fan of BMW, but their current range looks very dated now and all the press raving about their latest interior tech totally baffles me.

Tesla S and X both look dated now too being released at 6 and 3 years ago respectively. One of the reasons the iPace looks fresh and interesting as a BEV.

Yes, I think the design premise for BM SUVs has always been 'rugged'. This is a crossover, It goes fast, it goes off-road, its in your face, its a MAN'S car!

Tesla and Porsche, on the other hand, have always taken a less aggressive stance tending very much to everyday use as a family movers albeit Porsche sell their DNA and have that off-road capability as well, when required. Tesla on the other hand sell their Tech genes.

Don't know about the tech comparison but I very much imagine that Tesla started with the pad and worked outwards.
