Porsche have released the first undisguised pics of the Taycan looking a lot like the concept.

First proper pics of Taycan

Very detailed, if it is!
Regardless, they’re official Porsche pics so unlikely to be visually misleading.

CGI usually is very detailed! Okay these Taycans depicted on the production line all have suicide rear doors. The disguised production car Webber drove recently clearly had conventional rear doors. So I'm sticking with my first thought of CGI here.
Presumably part of the same announcement package

It actually marries with a PR piece on the Porsche Press page.

They love the word 'connect', and seemingly every product now has 'connect' in the name...
Macan GTS: PH1UFLL8
Certainly true about the test mules but having published these pics it would be seriously misleading if they weren’t somewhere close to the finished article.

Looks like Porsche are now taking their EV future pretty seriously. They seem to have gone from sitting on the fence to really talking a proper EV game. But then it's all still multiple years away - Taycan now looks like being early-mid 2020 for RHD, maybe an SUV by 2022, probably the Macan replacement before the Cayenne. Also possibly a Boxster/Cayman EV around that time frame.johnd wrote: ↑Mon Oct 15, 2018 2:27 pm Presumably part of the same announcement package

I don't know. They talk about second prototype stage, so that could mean anything. I thought the car seen in disguise out on the road and driven by a few celebs looked more realistic - basically a slightly shorter Panamera. Not necessarily bad though, I might even prefer it to the more attention grabbing Mission-E look.Dandock wrote: ↑Mon Oct 15, 2018 5:22 pmCertainly true about the test mules but having published these pics it would be seriously misleading if they weren’t somewhere close to the finished article.
