New diesel car sales have dropped, but are outselling all types of electric cars [combined].
new car sales mix - Nov 19 vs. 18 + YTD
Interesting though how the BEV sector is powering ahead - up by 40% or so in November vs October even though more desirable/affordable mainstream EV models (Tesla Model 3 aside maybe) have yet to launch or have long waiting lists. (Apparently the e-Niro waiting list is 3000 orders long.) Be interesting to see the figures at the end of 2020.
I’ve got clients telling me that they can get in to a 3 early next year now so waiting lists seem to have dropped a lot and with 0% Co car tax they are going to become popular very quickly over the diesels.

So does the Tesla Model 3 attract no company car tax at all? As it is a car over £40k list price the road tax still attracts a surcharge for the first 5 years?
