The increase is surprising bearing in mind the break in production mid-year when they switched to the facelift.

Time flies...it was mid-2018 when the factory shut down for months. So - arguably - Porsche just needed a normal 2019 to increase output.

Surely hasn’t the Macan been Porsche’s top seller since it was introduced?

Pro rata, I’m sure they’ve always sold more Macans than 911s, Caymans, Boxsters, Cayennes or Panameras, ever since the Macan became available to buy.

What is surprising is that Cayenne sales were only 7,900 behind the Macan. Porsche really is an SUV manufacturer who makes a few sports cars on the side. :)

Gratifying to have confirmed, once again, how we are all helping to keep those 911s on the road. 😂

Surely it's the idiots, like me, buying 911s, Caymans and Boxsters at highly Porsche profitable prices that allowed the development of Macan's and Cayennes for the SUV hungry members of this forum ;)
